NKF Charity Show 2003

National Kidney Foundation
Fann will be performing in this year's NKF Charity Show, She will be at the NKF 2nd show (April 20). Meanwhile, she is busy with her NKF 'training'. Lines are open from 3 APR onwards where you can call 1900－112－6868 to donate. The whole event will be 'LIVE' on TV 7.30pm @ Channel 8! Please donate generously especially to Fann's performing item.

In additional Fann will be appearing in an NKF roadshow on 6th April 2003, Sunday at Lot 1 (Beside Choa Chu Kang MRT) from 3pm++ onwards. (Event cancelled) On 26 April 2003, Saturday, she may be making her appearance at the National Stadium with a song or 2 for the World Rugby Concert. Click here for more details for the Concert.

Artistes: Fann Wong, Allan Wu, Christopher Lee, Chen Hanwei
The male artistes will attempt to walk facing each other, up on a tightrope held in high altitude between 2 tall buildings while carrying a structure with Fann on top. At mid-point, Fann may perform a stunt while trying to keep her balance.

Finale: Big Swing
Artistes: About 30 artistes including Fann Wong, Li Nanxing, Fiona Xie, Allan Wu, Chen Hanwei, Christopher Lee, Nick Shen, Zzen, Gary Yap, Qi YuWu, Michelle Liow, Christine Lee, Cavin Soh, Alan Tern, Joey Swee, Mark Lee, Patricia Mok and Shaun Chen.
A huge swing stands on stage where 30 to 40 artistes will attempt to hop onto the swing as it sways continuously. It is crucial for the artistes to jump onto the swing at the correct timing or they may fall off the platform. Once they are on the swing, they have to keep their balance as the swing continues swaying.

Ben Yue Flying with Fann

Fann Wong upcoming new drama is again pairing up with her fave male co-star Christopher Lee, this is their 3rd time working together on a periodic drama after Madam White Snake and Return of Condor Heroes. Maybe they are probably the most well-known screen couple on TV in Taiwan and China. Looking fresh, Fann was dressed simply in a strapless, bias-cut Armani khaki dress that flared at the knees, with a matching jacket thrown over her shoulders in her recent local paper Straits Times interview, She had indeed completed filming Flying To The Moon, a period drama in which she plays the Moon Fairy - Chang Er.

"We were on location for three months in He Bei, some two hours from Beijing. It was miserably cold at minus 17 degrees Celsius — even the drinking water in the dispenser would freeze, and we'd have to put it over a flame to melt the ice!" she said, laughing.

Flying To The Moon tells the tale of a fairy who lives on the moon but wants to descend to earth to observe man's sufferings. While earthbound, she does the unthinkable and falls in love with a mortal.

This 30-episode Singapore-China period drama series is expected to be telecast in Taiwan on June and Singapore starting Aug 15, 2003. Others cast inlcude Lian Kai, Wu Jia Li, Zhen Zhe Shi, Liu Wei, Zhen An Lun etc.

The Search is on!

Star Search 2003
Into its 8th year, the biennial talent search, Star Search 2003 organised by MediaCorp TV and Studios seeks to uncover promising stars from Singapore, Malaysia and the Republic of China. Fann and Christopher Lee were appointed to promote the search of talents in Shanghai.
Fann (pic above) taken at the press conference of Star Search 2003 held in Shanghai (Feb 28). Fann is reportedly named as one of the panel of judges for the final round of China Star Search 2003 which will be held in Shanghai on May 6. 4 finalists from China will be pitting their skills against 8 other contestants at the Grand Finals in Singapore on June 29.

Fann and Chris also travel to Malaysia on March 6 to promote Star Search 2003 with other Mediacorp stars Jacelyn Tay, Sharon Au and Liao Ying Ying.
